Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst will work within the Finance/Accounting group and closely with Executive and Operating Management teams to produce cash and financial forecasts, estimates and projections designed to guide tactical and strategic business decisions.

Candidates must have excellent business analytical skills, expert-level knowledge of MS Excel, and the ability to use other software tools to access data contained within the Company’s ERP system. He or she must possess strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical details to a diverse audience and the ability to develop the details necessary to accomplish a broad objective.

Candidates must also have demonstrated the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams in a manner that both displays a sense of urgency driven by deadlines and a sensitivity to the priorities and processes of other department members.

A minimum of five years’ experience in a comparable position in a complex business environment and a highly results-oriented and creative personality are musts.

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting strongly preferred; Business Degree or Minor in Business Administration with a background in mathematics and/or computer science may also be considered. Experience with wholesale and distribution companies, within the retail sector in particular, is a significant plus. This position reports to the Controller with a dotted line reporting relationship to the General Manager and President.

Key Responsibilities
  • Up to 10% travel may be required
  • Develop and maintain a reliable, highly predictive cash flow model
  • Develop and maintain a reliable, highly predictive 12-month rolling financial forecast including forecasted net cash flow, revenue, expense and balance sheets over the next twelve months
  • Compare forecasted results weekly and monthly to actual results from the Company’s accounting system and identify root causes of variances and needed resolutions
  • Present the prospective financial data to management along with key observations and recommendations based upon a growing knowledge of the business
  • As directed, work with the Company’s lenders to obtain or supply financial data
  • Perform often urgent ad-hoc analyses requested by management

Sales Coordinator

Cousin Corporation of America is currently seeking an experienced Sales Coordinator to add to our growing and evolving Sales Department. The ideal candidate is extremely detail oriented, motivated and a persistent self-starter who strives for data driven results with an excellent attention to detail. This position reports to the Sales Support & Replenishment Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Partner with internal team members to provide best-in-class service to key account customers
  • Monitor weekly replenishment orders and highlight unusual order patterns
  • Partner with purchasing team to plan and track customer rollout and reset orders
  • Create detailed sales reports to thoroughly analyze all products in customers' programs, maintain and update information as needed
  • Assist in creating, revising, copying and assembling presentations and sales call materials as needed by the sales team
  • Work directly with the sales manager to prepare presentations, samples, and proposals
  • Independently perform product information assignments such as collecting, organizing, preparing and uploading product information
  • Update weekly sales tracking files with customer Point-of-Sale data
  • Process, format and revise data from various internal and external sources
  • Data Integrity: Work with Sales and Product Development to ensure the accuracy of all product data in the system including product descriptions, required key data fields and images
  • Up to 10% travel may be required

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist the Creative Manager with development and execution of new product designs in line with market trends, that achieve overall product strategy and sales objectives
  • Conduct extensive market research online and in print to identify emerging trends and upcoming seasonal themes
  • Create story boards and product presentations to present to team, management, and customers
  • Understand and uphold design's aesthetic while offering new ideas and suggesting improvements to current product lines
  • Organize and maintain the sample room and the showroom, initiate and complete requests
  • Communicate with the marketing department on packaging and display development
  • Review prototypes to meet product development timeline milestones with a keen focus on product execution, consistency of details, and target margins
  • Execute, update, and maintain necessary product development tools (such as Tech Packs, Milestone Charts, and New Product Templates)
  • Communicate with the sales team on product development updates or corrections
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to design creative concepts that are consumer focused to meet the needs of the retail customer with a strong sense of color and style design and a pulse on current trends
  • Proficient with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with a sense of teamwork and the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with superb attention to detail
  • Ability to interact in a positive manner with others within various levels of the organization
  • Must be able to perform in a high pressure, fast paced environment
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally and currently hold or obtain a US Passport
Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum 1-2 years of product design and/or illustration experience with a retailer or manufacturer (experience in fashion jewelry or accessories product development is a plus!)

Content Creator/Videographer

Cousin Corporation of America is currently looking to add a Content Creator/Videographer to our growing marketing team! Our brands include CousinD.I.Y! and Laura Janelle and we have relationships with brands such as Cosmopolitan, Swarovski, LaurDIY, DC Comics, Wizard of Oz, and Harry Potter. The Content Creator/Videographer will conceptualize and create compelling photo, video, and social media content that tells the story of our brands. The Ideal candidate should be a highly motivated self-starter who jumps at the chance to grab a camera and create fresh and engaging branded content daily. Must be extremely savvy on all social media platforms and able to create content appropriate for each. The Social Media Content Creator will work with the marketing team and Marketing Manager to execute on brand marketing initiatives but will also be encouraged and expected to implement original ideas. This position reports to the Marketing Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conceptualize and create engaging social media content (including photos/videos, GIFs, Instagram stories) to illustrate brand messaging, marketing initiatives and product promotions
  • Assist with maintaining social sites for the brands
  • Adapt both new and existing content for different social media platforms
  • Storyboard, create, and direct video production for tutorials, seasonal themes, etc.
  • Collaborate with marketing and social media teams to fill out social media calendars with content
  • Analyze performance of social content to continuously improve traffic and capture more followers
  • Support development of social media campaigns for new product launches
  • Develop teaser videos of upcoming product launches for sales reps and blogs
  • Produce creative videos and content for social media and websites
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • 2+ years successful experience developing and executing new marketing programs and creating compelling content for social media
  • Proven familiarity with ALL social media platforms: Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Snapchat, Pinterest
  • Experience in operating both smartphone and DSLR cameras, creative shot composition, and photo editing required
  • Highly experienced using Adobe Creative Cloud and smartphone editing software
  • Strong time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and writing skills with the ability to absorb and apply constructive feedback
  • Must possess a flexible “can-do” attitude and enjoy working and collaborating with a team!
